I'm a 36 year old mother of two. I consider myself fairly active and competitive. I played basketball at the University of Oregon in the late 90's and have ran a marathon. Although fitness and staying in shape were a big part of my life, I let the body slip by not making fitness a priority and by not eating as healthy as I should.

I started P90X on April 17, 2009 and was determined to lose plenty of weight. I started at 170lbs and 27% body fat. I have always been active...I played basketball at the Division 1 level in college More ...
I started P90X on April 17, 2009 and was determined to lose plenty of weight. I started at 170lbs and 27% body fat. I have always been active...I played basketball at the Division 1 level in college but I had become a bit lazy in recent years. Well check that, my priorities changed after having two beautiful children. They are now 5 1/2 yrs and 3 so the "just had a baby" excuse wasn't going to fly anymore. I had to do something. P90X was it and I'm so glad I did.
I finished my first round on July 15, 2009. If I was just looking at the scale I would have been really disappointed. On day 90, I weighed 162 lbs so I lost 8 lbs. However, my body fat on Day 90 was 16.7% so I lost over 10% body fat.
I have started another round and my goal is to get my body fat down to 15%. I love this program.
