I feel the best way I can teach good eating and exercise habits to my children is to lead by example and "walk the walk" and make my family's health a priority. I enjoy meal planning and preparation, utilizing low-fat cooking techniques and fresh ingredients.
If I have been assigned to you as a BeachBody coach, I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.

I have always been an active person and a sports nut, but not until recently did I find the tools that empowered me to truly transform my health and go from being in good shape to great shape.
From 2001 to the summer of 2009 I joined fitness clubs (FIVE different clubs in all), purchased 2 workout series, a treadmill AND a full set of dumbbells. Thanks to a diverse, healthy diet with modest portion sizes and staying active either at the gym or on the treadmill, I was able to get a little thinner and maintain a good energy level. For whatever reason, though, I could never get excited about working on flexibility or lifting weights. I knew what I had to do, I had tools that should have helped me achieve the goals I had in mind, but it NEVER happened. Not in 9 years.
.......enter P90X. After watching the infomercial a few times while on the bike at the gym, and being intrigued by Tony Horton and "muscle confusion" I decided to make the purchase. After all, there was a 30-day money back guarantee. I spent about a week preparing for this endeavor by reviewing the comprehensive resources that came with the product and started mentally preparing myself to "Bring It." Then, in November 2009 I was off! It was amazing how quickly I started to SEE and FEEL the results. I attribute this to having a workout plan and a dietary map based on good science. I expected the quality and variability in the P90X workouts, but had NO IDEA about the online support groups, the opportunity to have a personal Beachbody coach, the detailed 3 phase diet plan or nutritional support products available by Beachbody.
Unfortunately, my initial attempt at completing P90X was put on hold after only 7 weeks when I begin experiencing pain in a knee which had given my trouble for the previous 3 years. I had an ACL and meniscus repair in 1996, but had never fully dedicated myself to maximizing my flexibility and strength. It was incredibly disappointing to elect to hit the pause button, but I knew that if I finally followed through with my physical therapy and learned some new exercises, I could achieve even better results on round 2 of P90X.
That is were I am today. In no way, shape or form do I feel that my first attempt at P90X was a failure. As I prepare for Round 2, I know that my body is better prepared, I know that my technique will be great starting on day 1, I know that using a chair-assist with pull-up exercises will allow me to complete more reps, and I know that I can more closely follow the diet to achieve even better results than I did in Round 1. I have A LOT to be excited about, and I look forward to posting my final photos.
