My husband and I were about to start the Body For Life program again until one of our good friends mentioned P90X to us. I have seen the informercials, but never took it seriously.
With Body For Life, while it's a good program, it was not the right fit for me. I plateaued and then I was bored. Thus, I quit the Body For Life program and went back to my unhealthy habits.
Needless to say, I wasn't too excited about starting Body For Life again so when P90X fell on my lap I was open to learning more about it. I also realized I had some friends who have tried P90X and made incredible transformations. I knew that I really wanted to accomplish a permanent lifestyle change.
Things happen for reason, because after learning more about the P90X program, the coaching opportunities, the supplements, and best of all the team that is involved, I took action and started the P90X program.
What I am loving about P90X is that it focuses 100% on muscle confusion. I get to work-out from home and have fun working out! The videos are fantastic! They are not like the old Jane Fonda videos (Go Grapevine)! They train you how to do the excercises correctly and push you to do your very best. It's a step by step process.
I am also learning how important stretching, yoga, and breathing are key components to inreasing your strength and to avoid injury. Bottomline, each time I finish P90X exercise, I feel invogarted.
I am even loving the supplements! I was never a huge fan of the whey protein powder shakes. My husband would get mad at me because I would never finish the drink. Now, I will down the Chocolate Shakeology drink in seconds. It is so freaken delicious! I was so pleasantly suprised! Oh and the bars are scrumptuous!
Then to top it all off, I have met some of the Beachbody coaches and what a great bunch of people. I feel at home. Why? We all share the same passion - to help other people achieve their goals, feel better, and be happy.
So I have decided to become a coach! I use to coach my PE peers back in high school so much that I actually won the PE annual award. hahah! My friends made fun of me for awhile.
I really enjoyed coaching and now 15 years later I am back! This time full throttle and ready to achieve my passions and goals, but also help others do the same.
It's like what I have learned on the silent spirtual retreat I recently attended. They reminded us of realizing what you love in life, what fuels your heart, what are the things that we enjoyed as kids, and letting all the noise around us that prohibit us from taking action to flush it down the drain.
It's the principle of servant leadership. The more people we can help out the better place all of us will be in mind, body, and soul.

It's been over a week since I started the P90X program and I am already feeling better.
It was a bit hard to start during Thanksgiving week, however the workouts in the morning really helped a lot.
I tried my best to eat small portions and not stuff myself. Hard to believe to do that during Thanksgiving!
I really look forward to toning up and building more muscle. We shall see in one month what the results are thus far.

02/03/10 Well I am not sure what exactly I did, but I hurt my right knee. Although it is frustratering that I can't do certain moves on P90X like have been, I keep reminding myself to do my very best.
