In December 2004 I woke up and had an epiphany. At 193.6 lbs., my highest weight ever, I was miserable and tired of the endless cycle of loss/gain I had put my body through for the past 38 years. I’d successfully lost weight many times but was never able to keep it off for any length of time. This time, I was determined to figure out how to get it off and keep it off. I started Jenny Craig on January 3, 2005 and began exercising to various DVDs at home during the first 4 months. The weight started to come off but I knew I needed to get serious about working out so I could make it a lifelong habit that I would enjoy. I saw an infomercial for Turbo Jam and was so impressed by how much fun it seemed that I immediately placed an order. 10 months later, I was 4 lbs away from my goal weight of 150. For the next couple of months, I continued to do my Turbo Jam workouts but I relaxed my eating to the point that I gained 11.4 lbs. Scared, I decided that it was time to try another workout program and refocus on my eating. I purchased P90 and decided to give myself 90 days to see what Tony Horton could do for me. I began following a clean eating plan and started P90 on 7/23/07. I completed the program on 10/20/07 and saw some amazing results – a total loss of 11.6 lbs and 7” - and I finally saw some muscle definition in my arms. I’m moving on to P90 Master Series next and, thanks to Beachbody, Tony Horton, and Chalene Johnson, I think I’ve finally found a way to keep the weight off for good.
