I am a physical educator and coach of volleyball, basketball, and track. I love being active in all sports. I have a slight medical issue called May-Thurner Syndrome, but I try not to let it get in the way of being happy and active.

After graduating college, I no longer had to workout to a sound of a whistle. Coach was no longer there to push me to be better and healthier. I just figured that a little break from streneous workouts was well deserved. Once I got into the "real world" exercising was hard to fit into my daily schedule. I found a local team to play with 3 days out of the week, but could only go to it once a week. Work was taking over and working out was becoming nonexistent. Take out food was daily and my leg condition was worsening. I felt that I was at a deadend. I jumped on a scale and it read 190lb. I almost passed out! How can I teach our youth about physical education and not look the part. That's when I made the goal to lose weight and strengthen my muscles. I wanted to give them examples of what not to do and how to better their body. Obesity is becoming all too familiar with the world. If we want change, then we must attack it early with our youth. Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity and the motivation to help change the world one person at a time.
