Served in the first gulf war and was in excellent shape and very fit. Injured my rotator cuff while lifting and had nearly of year of therapy and pain. My weight gain started. I went from a 157 lbs to 214lbs over the next several years.

I have always been physically active though and current exercise 3 to 5 times a week including two 2 hour basketball games a week. My weight keeps fluctuating

Even though I'm overweight I feel energetic and great which surprises me. I can only imagine what it's going to feel like going through Insanity! I'll probably be able to run a 4 minute mile.

I'm out of town for 4 days the first week in January and that's why I'm starting on the 9th. I'll be aware of my meals as I have done the calculations per the book and mt regular exercise. Eating has been a pitfall for me.
