Friday Harbor, WA I'm a single Mom and although I have always been athletic, the last couple of years I really got out of shape. Sitting behind the computer all day, never working out, poor diet, etc. Running used to be my favorite exercise, and when I was able to run, I was happy, but when I couldn't I would get depressed. Being a single Mom and dealing with life, bad weather, etc. always seemed to be I'm a single Mom and although I have always been athletic, the last couple of years I really got out of shape. Sitting behind the computer all day, never working out, poor diet, etc. Running used to be my favorite exercise, and when I was able to run, I was happy, but when I couldn't I would get depressed. Being a single Mom and dealing with life, bad weather, etc. always seemed to be interfering with my workouts, and so the situation got worse. I was really mad at myself for the shape I was in, but I didn't know how I was going to manage to get the workouts in that I craved so badly. Then a good friend of mine bought me the Insanity DVDs. I couldn't believe it! It was everything I was looking for- fun, convenient, challenging, and even better than running for overall conditioning. I'm hooked!
I am just know in my first month with Insanity, but I am going to keep doing it for a long time, and also I'm adding P90X right after, which I'm super excited to try. I'm just so blown away by Insanity and I'm sold on Beachbody.

I'm the classic example of an athlete who let her physique and fitness slip. I've been known as "thehardbody" online for years, but the last couple of years, my body has not been that hard or fit, so it was very discouragine. Now that I'm older, it was that much harder to get over the mental and physical hurdles to get back to that peak level. Now with my workouts, all I have to think about is pressing play! The rest takes care of itself :) I'll be updating more of my transformation as I get further along with Insanity.
