My story starts out like so many people out there. I was mid 30’s not unfit but not where I wanted to be. I ate healthy, exercised occasionally but was not satisfied with the way I looked. I had been thin my whole life but the mid life spread around the middle started to happen. Although I complained about it I did nothing. Then two things happened to me: First I was driving to work and my belly was hanging over my seatbelt. I sucked it in and it moved but was still there. This was very disturbing to me. But I did nothing . Second I caught myself in the mirror wearing a knit shirt and I saw something that I did not like. My belly was sticking way out. This did it for me. I was ready to change my life. I had seen the P90X infomercial several times and was amazed at the results. There was no way I was going to be that ripped. How could it work? I had gone to a trainer for 90 days and seen nothing close to those results. Skeptical I read reviews on line, searched You Tube and was amazed at what I saw: Real people losing weight and getting ripped. A buddy of mine had bought P90X but only lasted 3 days. I borrowed his DVD’s and set out on the adventure that is P90X. I purchased the minimal equipment: yoga mat, pull-up bar and 2 sets of dumbbells. I put the first DVD and WOW. It was crazy. The next day I was so sore. I knew there must be something to this. Then the second workout came and went. You know what? It was fun. Then the third, the forth and so on. In no time I had made it thru the first week. I was having fun and getting stronger. I started to look forward daily to meet up with Tony and “the kids”. Tony is so motivating. He always focuses on positive. He never says can’t. I can’t do pull-ups becomes “I presently struggle with pull-ups.” Around Phase 2 I found the message boards and it cranked my program into high gear. I joined several groups and found a coach. My coach, Sean, was key to my success. He was there for me every step of the way. Any question I had he answered, supported me daily on his thread and guided my nutrition. Sooner than later 90 days had gone by and I was a P90X grad. I dropped 22 lbs, lost 3 inches off my waist and was in the best cardio shape of my life. I was so excited and proud I was ready to go at it again and start helping others on the same journey I just taken. The first thing I did was order my own copy of P90X (my buddy wanted his back after he saw how well I had done). I now eat clean, exercise daily and have changed my lifestyle 100%. I’m now a Beachbody Coach. Excited to help others succeed in this program and help them create a new lifestyle. I can say 100% Tony Horton, P90X and Beachbody have changed my life for the better. I have recently had the pleasure of meeting Tony in person. I attending the “Sunday Work Out” in Santa Monica and had an amazing time. I can honestly say that Tony, as a person, is exactly what I expected. Tony is the real deal. He walks the walk and talks the talk. He was personable, motivational and inspiring.
