My dream was always to be fit, healthy and strong. As a child I had my exercise every day climbing trees, running, jump roping, .... all day, but my student years changed all this. I was focusing on getting the best degree, I was studying all day. I learned so many things and I don't regret that but I do regret that I didn't give just one hour every day to exercise. After I graduated I was really sad about my look. I was miserable and not the old happy/always smilling person. I had to change this. And I DID.
I started walking every day but the whole walking thing is not for me. I loved to go out and do something but I wanted more. I was in my 20's I was expecting more from my body. Than I found P90X. First thing I thought that this is for men not for me. I don't want to look like a muscle building and I was affraid to pick up the weights because I thought I will become bigger. I was already big I didn't want that. Than I saw the girls in the crew and I started to think "ok they look good and lifting prety heavy weights". I started to put things together finally. So I went for it telling myself that I can't loose a darn thing, I was ugly, hated my body, I had to do something. And I loved the results. The heavier I went the more lean I became. Oh my, I found the key. I was sooo happy and the harder I pushed the more I wanted.
Of course I always added cardio. I love to sweat :). I am a cardio freak. I started to run and I became faster and stronger every day. I added plyo, step evreything that is out there. If it makes me move, I am in. Than Shaun T steped on the plate with Insanity. Oh my God when I saw the people sweating and dying I knew this program is for me. I did this program 3 times. Last round I did first month and second month twice. I just love the intensity. This was an other step that I needed to take. I learned how to push to the max and I got better and better every time. Now I am ready for round four ;) this guy is tuff and I love him for that.
So cardio and strength training together works like magic.
One thing was still missing and I found it here at BB. Nutrition. As soon as I started to eat clean and watch my protions, my body changed again in just a few weeks. I still need to balance my foods to get everything in the right amount but I am in the right place and I will do it.
So yes BB changed my life, taught me how to push, go to the max, challenge my body and feed my body.
