Hello and thank you for getting to know me better! My journey started while I was playing intramural womens flag football in college. The "armory" (where I fell in love with weight training) was old-school, non-air conditioned and filled with big, sweaty guys who looked like they ate whole watermelons for snacks. At the same time, I quit my casual cigarette habit (it was the 80's!) and took up jogging. (Can I get a high five for those classy dolphin shorts, anyone?) After college, I started teaching "aerobics" and since then I have consistently worked part-time in the field in several capacities. (I spent seven years in PR/media relations/special events and seven years in Los Angeles radio.) How did I end up here? I think many of us operate our daily lives on multi-train tracks that cross over and under and around each other; sometimes, entangling themselves and eventually halting or crashing several cars or the entire train. Not sure why it has taken me this long to finally figure out which cars should be on my train, and how to focus on one set of tracks instead of 20 lanes of interstate, but it did. Ever had one of those moments of clarity? Like, WTF-am-I-doing clarity? Those are rich. I had one after a very long day of clients, other work, general frustrations and more general frustrations that were a result of my own poor decision making. But, that was then! I now have a few cars on a few tracks and Beachbody is one of them. I am no longer restricted to my local PT clients and I have incredible tools and products to help just about anyone, anywhere! I love the constant stream of real success stories from real people and at the risk of sounding dramatic, I can't imagine starting my day without Shakeology. I've been happily married for 22 years and I'm mom to two boys and two dogs. The harder I work, the more people who are getting healthy and fit but not at the expense of my family time. Wow! What a gift! And, I'm more motivated and inspired since I am part of this giant stream of accountability. In fact, Beachbody has had a profound effect on my past issues with body distortion and compulsive eating and those "old tapes" and destructive patterns. If you are reading this right now, I'm guessing that you might have a few issues of your own to battle. Perhaps, you're just curious. Either way, I would be honored to assist you with whatever you are facing or hoping to accomplish. Financial goals? No one will stop you or hold you back in this company except yourself. If you have a list of goals that have been on your to do list for a while, don't wait for the perfect time or circumstance. (Pipe dream) At the very least, you could check off "eat better" with our shake. And, that's at the very least! So, let's get ripped on the "inside and out" and rock the free world!

My story is simple yet common. I was teaching 7-9 group exercise classes a week and constantly watching my fat and calories (then later, my carbs). I lifted weights three times a week and even subbed classes from time to time. I was over-exercising and under-eating and I was over-fat for a fitness instructor. I finally decided that I deserved to have a leaner body and signed up with a nutritionist who quickly set me straight. Less cardio, more protein and complex carbs; very little sugar and eating every 3-4 hours. I dropped from 23% bodyfat to 15.5% and lost about 10 pounds. Since then I have let my bodyfat creep up a bit (although I like to blame it on getting older) and so I am now committed to reducing it a little to show off my almost-50-badassmamajamabod.

I am pleasantly surprised because I have done low cal/low carb days on my own but I have never dropped three pounds in one day, which is what happened on this cleanse. It obviously slowed down after More ...
