I'm a mother of 3 active boys (16,13,8) that are active in baseball, basketball, football and self defense. And so am I... at 47 I still play competitive volleyball and feel great! I keep myself in great shape so I can keep up with the boys as they get older. I've finished the Classic P90X and loved the challenge of the workouts! Almost four years ago I worked out with a personal trainer 4 I'm a mother of 3 active boys (16,13,8) that are active in baseball, basketball, football and self defense. And so am I... at 47 I still play competitive volleyball and feel great! I keep myself in great shape so I can keep up with the boys as they get older. I've finished the Classic P90X and loved the challenge of the workouts! Almost four years ago I worked out with a personal trainer 4 days a week for six months, and he got me into great shape - 17% body fat down from 24% and, 137 lbs down to 128. But, I think I am in better shape now after these 90 days than I was after 6 months with my trainer. Plus the fact I have saved a lot of money with this program! I imagine when I started this program beginning of Feb '07, I weighed 142 and now I'm down to 131, and plan to get my body fat measured when I graduate from P90X on May 5th! This program is so great and challenging - just what I was looking for... The program presented itself to me one day as I was searching for a workout regiment that was around 90 days that outlined what to do every day but was something very challenging for a somewhat fit person. Later that day as I was surfing channels, there it was on my TV! Tony Horton explaining the P90X program. And what really sold me on it were the transformations from day 1 to day 90. And I also saw women that were fairly fit like myself and how they looked after doing this program. The price was right and I ordered P90X that moment. I will recommend this to anyone that can commit themselves for a period of time and want to get into the best shape of their lives. It does take a huge committment of time and you have to do it every day. I've been fortunate because I work in my home, the boys go off to school, and that's my time to do P90X. And I haven't gotten sick with any colds or flu, which can put a hold on others doing this program. But if you can dedicate yourselves to this, it will work! I plan on continuing working out - heck, after 90 days it really does become a habit, and I imagine I would miss it if I didn't do it. Plus, I will not go back to what I once was... I know that I'm healthier and more energetic, too. Thanks to Tony and all involved in creating this program and bringing it into my life - what a beautiful variety of strength workouts and flexibility trainings and cardios... I know my boys and my husband can also use this program too, so no dust will settle on these DVDs for a long time to come.

On May 5th of this year, I graduated from the Classic P90X! What fun and what a way to start the summer! Now after months of freedom and a little working out, and especially now that the boys are back in school, it's time to devote to myself something for myself... so here we go again! Every day I plan to bring it until Christmas eve! Update... today is January 12, 2009 and I'm starting round two of the Classic P90X. Come April 13, I'll be ready for spring! 'Phase 1' done and I am in the recovery week #4 and things are going great. The eighth time I did the ab ripper I was able to complete all the moves and my mid-section is toning up great. Day 61 and I'm pushing it harder to challenge myself to lift heavier weights and do more reps. Not losing many pounds but the definition of muscle is amazing. And we all know that muscle weighs more than fat. And I know my body fat % is down. (I'll be ready for the summer swimsuit). Can't wait to be done to take my transformation photos to see the difference... Happy New Year! 2010 is here and it's time to shed the winter coat. So on January 4th, I have started the P90X "Lean" routine and things are going well so far - just somewhat sore!
