I have been working on losing weight for about a year and a half, and exercising 5-6 days per week for the last 9 months or so, alternating between running on a treadmill and wieght lifting. I lost a little over 20 pounds in the first few months, but have not really lost anything in the last year. I am in much better shape than I was a year ago, but i'm still not where I would like to be. I'm giving P90X a try, to get rid of that last 15 pounds, and get in really good shape
