Hi my name is Tovah and I love to run, it's my passion and it helps me define who I am. Recently i've been turned onto turbokickbox and have just taken the instructors course. My goal now is to teach TKB and have it become even more a part of my life. I feel like running, TKB has become a passion and motivation for me to stay on the right track with health and fitness.

Hi my name is Tovah, in high school i started putting on the weight. I went from getting called scrawny chicken legs to nothing at all. I guess the fast food, sweets and ice cream didn't help any. I always had this image in my mind that i was a tiny girl. THen when i went to university i started realizing that i wasn't quite as tiny as i thought i was. Over my last year of high school and coming into university i had gained 30 pounds. Now for someone who is 5'1 to ad 30 pounds is a lot. I had always been into fitness and exercise but i never quite had the diet down. I never realized that calories out meant calories in and no more. I think i was lying to myself for quite sometime, because that's quite obvious that in order to burn calories you have to work and not cheat yourself. Coming into university i stayed at school one summer, everyone else went home and i found myself with a lot of time on my hands. That's when i discovered running. There was this hill down the street from me, 7 minutes up and 5 minutes down. At first try i couldn't make it to the top without stopping. That's when i started challenging myself and truly depending and relying on myself to complete this challenge. Needless to say i achieved my goal and looked at running down hill as my reward for making it up. I ran that hill every day for the next two years and lost that 30 pounds with a proper diet. The following summer i moved on to a much bigger hill, and inspired others to achieve the hill too and join in on the runners high with me. I then realized this was a lifestyle change, running was a part of me that helped me define who i was as a person. When i discovered running I discovered a healthier, happier me. A person who always looks at the positive side of things and chooses to inspire others to achieve their goals. There is no easy way out, it's all a matter of working hard and feeling satisfied with the choices and decisions and efforts put in. I feel i need team beachbody to keep me inspired because everyday is a challenge with food and weight and life choices, and i need to be held accountable for my actions to choose the right decisions and help inspire others. As running will always be a part of me i have discovered turbokick box which has also helped keep my drive for fitness and as running became a part of me, so has turbo kick box and i thank those who have crossed my path who have helped me continue my fitness journey.
