Cherry Valley, MA I'm a single mom, two kids, full time web developer and full social life. I have spent years letting myself come in last. A few years ago I decided that if I wasn't going to put myself first, no one else would. So I started Weight Watchers at work. I completed the program, lost about 30 pounds, but I plateaued there and couldn't seem to go any further with just paying attention I'm a single mom, two kids, full time web developer and full social life. I have spent years letting myself come in last. A few years ago I decided that if I wasn't going to put myself first, no one else would. So I started Weight Watchers at work. I completed the program, lost about 30 pounds, but I plateaued there and couldn't seem to go any further with just paying attention to food. I knew exercise was going to be important to seeing further results. I have a gym at work so I started going and just doing 20 minutes on an elliptical about 3 times a week. That made an immediate difference and my clothes started fitting better. All told, I lost about 35 pounds and 2 dress sizes. But I was still at a size 14 and while I told myself I look good, and this might be what I look like for the rest of my life, I knew that I could do better.
I bought P90X and was serious about doing it but I find that while I like the workouts, and Tony is like a good friend giving me confidence and encouragement, my schedule just makes fitting in the longer workouts too tough. Someone on the message boards recommended 10-Minute Trainer and maybe mixing that with P90X when I have time for the longer workouts.
So that's what I'm doing. I think I'm just going to do the full Accelerated Results program of 10-Minute Trainer, focus on the eating plan and altering my schedule to make sure my workouts get fit in, and figure once my healthier habits are solidified, I can try some more challenging programs.
After the Day 1 workouts of TMT, I can tell you, it's quite challenging enough!
