San Jose, CA As many stories in Team Beach Body mine started in the same way. I was awake one night watching TV being a couch potato and the infomercial for P90X caught my attention. I have never been the person who buys from TV but for some reason or another I watched the whole infomercial, and it took me a while to make my decision to buy the program but in the end I did. That was on 2/19/2008 and a few days As many stories in Team Beach Body mine started in the same way. I have never been the person who buys from TV but for some reason or another I watched the whole infomercial, and it took me a while to make my decision to buy the program but in the end I did. That was on 2/19/2008 and a few days later my package arrived, but for some particular reason I didn't have the motivation that I needed to start it.
So brand new P90X package accumulated dust for a year and a half; until one day motivation kicked in and I welcomed it like there was no tomorrow...
I started the program not doing the fit test, not taking measurements and not even knowing that there was a program called Power90 (which for some reason I am glad I didn't know at the time). I took my before pictures and played the DVD.
Oh my...If there were words to describe the excruciating pain I had from performing the exercises the first day I would write it here, but the only thing that comes to my mind is almost being in a vegetable state - knowing what is happening around you and not being able to move a muscle...
That's when I made my decision that I wouldn't surrender...I would keep going to the end.
Every week my body was getting used to the routine and the pain started to cease. My big problem was that I hadn't started the nutrition plan according with the exercise, so when I was on day 31, I started the meal plan (big mistake). I didn't know what it was all about and the exercises became harder to perform because of my minimal non carbs intake. However, I did it...I finished the program. I didn't follow the meal plan as it is, but I am proud to say that I really learned how to eat in a better and healthier way.
Now, today, while I am writing this I am thinking about tomorrow- I will start my second round of the X and something is for sure I will bring it!!! one more time...
