Well... where to start? I was a track athlete in high school. Started running when I was about 12 with my dad. Was more of the sprinter/hurdler/jumper. I was never really thin... I was about 5'3 More ...
Well... where to start? I was a track athlete in high school. Started running when I was about 12 with my dad. Was more of the sprinter/hurdler/jumper. I was never really thin... I was about 5'3 and about 125 in high school. I was very muscular in the legs and arms but not ripped by any means. I was just thicker than the average girl. I've had significant weight gains (20 pounds or more) followed by significant weight losses (20 pounds or more) a few times but can't seem to keep it off. My mom always says she can tell when I'm happy in my relationships because I'm heavier than when I'm single.

I'm doing Insanity to get in shape like I used to be. I still run road races, but I have a lot to be desired in the mid-section, where my trouble weight usually finds itself.

My goals are to lose fat and to fit into smaller pants. I assume that to achieve these goals some weight loss will be involved. But I'm 5'4 now and was 156 when I started May 10, so we'll see what happens July 11!

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to update here but here goes! Today is July 17 and I just finished Insanity. Yes it is one week late, but that is because last weeks heat wave made it impossible to workout without passing out so for safety I delayed the final week (which really sucked). However, on a positive note, it let me focus more on my diet, and I was able to really jump start the weight loss. I lost about 6 pounds during the final three weeks which felt really great to finally be "rewarded" for all of this hard work. In total, during round one of Insanity I lost 9.5 pounds, 3 inches on my waist, 4 inches on my hips, 2.5 on my chest, 1 on my right arm, 1.5 on my left arm, and 2 inches on each leg for a total of 16 inches lost! Definitely starting round 2 on Monday!
