I would have NEVER believed that I would come to love fitness. I remember working out to my mom's Jane Fonda album when I was a kid, I did Kathy Smith & those crazy Abs of Steel & don't forget...Buns of Steel! Nothing ever inspired me until Turbo Jam.

Transformation story

I have exercised for as long as I can remember. Nothing ever really stuck for me, I always seemed to end up bored & sore.

I have exercised for as long as I can remember. Nothing ever really stuck for me, I always seemed to end up bored & sore.
I would go running on a somewhat regular basis but, I would always get bored & eventually would just stop.

Fast forward about 5 years or so. I had my daughter & after giving birth to a 9lb + baby my body was an absolute wreck. I felt that after she was born that I was born again. I could barely walk & the skin on my stomach just hung there. Not to mention, I had no energy. I could go to work & that was about it.

On June 8th, 2009 I made a commitment to myself & to my daughter. I wanted to be an incredible mom. I wanted my daughter to feel like she had won the "mommy lottery". I didn't just want to be a mom that sat on the couch watching tv all day & yelling at her kid. I told myself that I was going to work out at least 4 days a week. A workout could be walking around our neighborhood or mowing the lawn. As long as I was sweating, I was working out.

I was getting a little bored in August. I had graduated to running & was doing about 7-9 miles per week. I felt good but, I wasn't losing weight like I thought I should be based on how hard I felt I was working. And, boredom was starting to creep back in.

I heard about Turbo Jam from a friend on a pregnancy forum & I got it for my 33rd birthday. Holy cow!! I have not been the same person since pushing play that first day. My energy went thru the roof, my weight started decreasing at a nice lb/week rate but, more than that my loooove for turbo jam. For the first time in my life I got excited to workout, like butterflies in my stomach excited! I got nearly the entire library of turbo. And, after 8 months of doing turbo 6 days/wk. I had lost about 30 lbs. I started in a size 13 & was in a size 6 at that point. But, most of all I loved working out. And, I was NEVER bored!

Somewhere along the line I realized that this is something that I would have to do forever. I wasn't going to get to a certain weight & then, stop working out. This was me now...

I started doing Chalean Extreme in April of 2010. I now weigh 129 lbs & my size 4 jeans are becoming loose!

I celebrated my 34th birthday by starting Turbo Fire! What an incredible workout that is!

It is hard to believe that I have come so far! I've never been able to stick to workout out & I am approaching my 1 1/2 year anniversary of working out. I am so proud of myself fo how far that I have come. I have broken thru one of the biggest hurdles in my life & am so impressed with myself. Now that I understand how to keep my weight under control I feel like I can do anything. Anything will be a breeze compared to the work I have put in over the last year. I encourage anyone to do the thing that scares them the most & just go for it! I feel like a warrior in my life now, I am lean, strong & fit & I feel like I won the lottery!

UPDATE: (10/20/10)Sorry size 4 jeans, gotta get rid of you because now I need room for my new size 2 jeans!! This just blows me away sometimes. I know its not about a size but, I can't help but smile when I look at the tag & I see a number 2!
