My story: I've always struggled with weight, although I've never been all that heavy. I just have my trouble spots and looked disproportionate because of heavy thighs and heavy upper arms. And once having kids, I gained weight all over- and although I looked more proportionate, I didn't like how lumpy everything was! Now that I've been doing some BeachBody programs since 2005, I don't have that jiggle anymore, and my upper arms are finally showing some SHAPE! My thighs are smaller too- though they are still the last of my body to sculpt yet. I am proud of how far I've come, and it motivates me to keep on going, because I know that if I would just DO the work, I can reach my goals. It's so simple, yet so hard. But it CAN BE DONE! Most of my workouts are from Jillian Michaels, FitDecks, Power90, PowerHalfHour, P90X, ChaLEAN Extreme, Turbo Jam & Slim in 6. A sprinkling of HipHopAbs and Rockin' Body too- and Shaun T's Insanity! Currently for the end of 2010- my main focus is TurboFire! It is AWESOME! Can't say I didn't have the arsenal for fitness!

Before finding BeachBody (specifically Power90) in 2005, I had been working on losing weight for a year by cutting out fat in my diet and trying to exercise at least 3-4 times a week. I wasn't More ...
Before finding BeachBody (specifically Power90) in 2005, I had been working on losing weight for a year by cutting out fat in my diet and trying to exercise at least 3-4 times a week. I wasn't consistent in doing any one exercise until I found P90. It gave me the structure I needed to achieve my goals- and then some! I was surprised at how simple and how easy it was, if I would just STICK WITH IT and just DO IT. I went from about 135 lbs down to 120 in 2 rounds of P90! I'd finally lost those hard-to-lose "last pounds" that I've struggled with for the past 8 yrs! Gone in just 6 months!
Then in 2006, I found P90X, but kept getting derailed before finishing a full round. But I managed to maintain well with a mix of P90, P90X, Power Half Hour and Turbo Jam.
2007 was a tough year. It started well, with a round of P90X. I was cranking it out with excellent results for about 60 days! But then my mom got really sick with her cancer battle and passed away. After that, I stopped working out for months at a time... and slowly gained weight back. Thankfully though- I'd learned to choose foods more wisely so I didn't gain more than I did. I'd slowly crept up close to 140 lbs and I knew I had to get back on track.
2008 consisted of some off/on rounds of this or that (my previously mentioned arsenal of workouts, but with Hip Hop Abs, Rockin' Body & some Jillian Michaels added). Didn't really lose much but maybe 5 lbs- but considering the funk I was in, it was actually not bad. At least I didn't gain in 2008!
Then comes 2009 and I try ChaLEAN Extreme. And while I haven't lost much weight on the scale- I've tightened up my body all over- and gained incredible improvements in my strength! I can now do pull-ups that I couldn't really do before! I can also now do more than 10 triceps pushups from my toes- also something I couldn't do well before. I have doubled the weights I can use on my lateral shoulder raises and triceps kickbacks. It's been a great ride. :-) All that and in only 30-40 minutes a day. Can't beat that! July 2009 was also when I started on Shakeology and signed up as a Coach.
2010 continues with more maintaining, until summer when TurboFire came out! What a slamming shift in my life this was! I managed to get going again- and got back down to my lowest Beachbody weight again! YAY! In only one month, I saw results! So I'm keeping up with TurboFire for the rest of the year. Following the program and will later incorporate a mix with P90X, ChaLEAN Extreme and Insanity. If it weren't for Beachbody, I know I couldn't make it from around 33% body fat down to the low 20% range. And I'm not done yet!

11/01/11 Wow... it's November already! It made me think back on my year- and what goals I had for 2011. And what has actually happened as the year rolled on.
I accomplished one big fitness goal- and More ... 07/14/11 We all got into Beachbody for a reason. We want to lose weight, we want to get fit, we want to achieve something. Remind yourself of just WHY you started. Keep that handy for when you start to lose More ... 06/01/11 I started at the end of March... and just finished it today with the last Fit Test. While I didn't see any change on the scale or in the size of my clothes- I am VERY happy to see the improvements on More ... View Blog
