I began using Slim in 6 in April of 2007. I went from 168 to 147 from April to August that year. I ordered all the Turbo Jam videos after I completed Slim in 6 and I fell in LOVE with More ...
I began using Slim in 6 in April of 2007. I went from 168 to 147 from April to August that year. I ordered all the Turbo Jam videos after I completed Slim in 6 and I fell in LOVE with Chalene and her videos.
In 2009 we found out we were pregnant with our second child. It was a high risk pregnancy b/c I had just found out I had 2 blood clotting disorders and I had placenta previa. I was put on "no exercise" for the duration of the pregnancy. A month after our son was born my husband went out for a day of golf..36 holes when the heat index was at 110 degrees. His heart went into atrial fibrillation. We have spent the past year trying different methods to correct this, so the workouts were once again put on hold.
In June of 2011, I decided enough was enough. I was already back up to 165 and my clothes were no longer fitting me. I was miserable.
I decided to go back to what I knew and with the help of my coach Miki, I bought TurboFire. I was soooo ready!
Well, my brain and heart might have been ready, but my body sure wasn't! I could barely make it through 15 minutes of the first workout in TurboFire. I couldn't believe it...I was so sad and discouraged. BUT, I decided not to give up.
I spent 3 weeks getting ready for TurboFire. I walked 3-4 miles, I used my eliptical/bike to burn 300 calories, and I did TurboJam in between those two exercises.
I began TurboFire and completed 3 weeks of the program. I injured my ankle + my husband went in for a major heart surgery (very cutting edge surgery I might add..he is involved in a clinical trial now) when I would have begun week 4 of TF. We were away from home for close to two weeks during this time and it was much more emotionally taxing than I ever could have imagined. I was too exhausted each night to work out...even though I had booked a hotel with a workout facility.
When we returned home I decided to restart TurboFire. I am so glad that I did! I was so focused and each day brought on a new challenge of finding the time to work out in our sunroom with my girl Chalene. BUT...I did it! My mom and dad would watch the baby while my daughter (she is nearly 8) would ride the eliptical and watch me workout. I am currently on day 26 of TF and I have gone from 165 in June to 145 as of this morning. My measurements are amazing! My thighs...which have always been on the larger side..are looking A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! I can do so many of the moves in TF that I was unable to do during those first 3 weeks I was doing the program. I have incorporated Shakeology into my diet and I love it!
It brings tears to my eyes to look at how far I have come in such a short time.
I not only believe in TurboFire, Chalene Johnson, and Beachbody, but I owe them soooooo much!
I have endured the most emotional year of my life. I had a very needy newborn, a very tired and worn out husband...who kept pushing through all the different procedures we tried, and the emotional toll of it all is mindboggling.
But to know that I pushed through all of that and MADE time for TF...well, it is the thing that has helped me handle the last month. So many people have asked me how on earth I have handled this past surgery (which has been full of setbacks with lung problems), having a baby, having a second grader, etc. I owe it all to Chalene Johnson and Beachbody. The workouts gave my brain and my heart clarity. She pushes me every single day! I can hear her in my head, "Your not tired!!!!"..."You look amazing!"..."Don't stop moving, never stop moving!"
Beachbody has changed my life. Chalene Johnson has given me my life back....and my cute jeans :).
***Update: I am down to a size 8 and weigh 135 as of January 7, 2012. I am finishing the last 3 weeks of TF :). I started at a tight size 16.
**Update: I am now down to 130 at the end of February. My size 8's are falling off, but I will not buy new clothes unless they are capri's for Spring :).I can only walk for now due to a leg procedure I had done 2 weeks ago. I am finishing up the Shakeology Cleanse and ready to build up gradually with my walking.
**Update: As of April 28th I am down to 128 and a size 6 (still fit into some of my 8's). I begin Brazil Butt Lift on April 30th and I am very excited to see how toned I will be by the end of 4 weeks!

05/13/12 I did more TF workouts than I did BBL. It was a time thing unfortunately. I am planning out this week much better and will have to get my workouts in before the evening gets away from me.
I will More ... 05/06/12 I did High & Tight yesterday and had planned on Cardio Axe, but John had to leave for a baseball game so I had to do a quick cardio since I had both kids. So I popped in HIIT 20 from turbofire. More ... 05/01/12 Well. Coordinated girl I am not! That was quite a humbling experience for me.
My dancing moves could use some work and I am glad no one was watching me!
