After I graduated from high school in 1995, I weighed at my highest at 175 lbs. By the end of the semester 1996, I had lost 10 lbs by walking a mile and a half to work while I was taking a driver’s education course. I didn’t really know I had lost weight until some co-workers had commented that I had lost weight and was wondering how I done it. Then I notice my clothes were big on me. At that time, I had started to check out some Kathy Smith fat burning workout videos, which I made an effort to workout 3-4 times like she suggested on the video. Then I noticed I had lost about 10 more lbs, which I had kept it off for several years. I even started exercising as a habit since I took a PE course in college. I remember when the PE instructor had asked everyone in the class about do we exercise and how often, and when it was my turn to answer, I told him that I didn’t have time (which I saw somewhere that was the top or number #1 answer). Now when I think about it, I was quite embarrassed because I was the only one who gave that excuse.
While I had lost about 10-20 lbs between 1995 and 1996, I had gained some of it back in 1999. I was so busy with commuting between school and work, I hardly had any time to exercise, but I made an attempt to exercise any time I get a chance. And for lunch time, my family always ate fast foods or order take-outs which I gain 10-15 lbs from it. So I decided it is really time to get healthy and fit.
Then later in 2000 late one night, I saw the Power 90 infomercial and I was very interested because of people's results. I thought I could at least take a look at the program on the beachbody.com website. I was hesitant at first because of my previous fitness products purchases, but I went ahead and checked it out. I was amazed at how many customers were actually was using the beachbody website for motivation, questions, and support. I have to say that having support is one of my top keys to keep me going whenever I had questions or needed support. I especially loved the www.wowy.com website because I can see how many people are actually logging to work out the same time as me. I like to see how many different people are there from different places and the workouts they are doing. I have to say WOW!
Currently, I have many beachbody products (Power 90, Slim in 6, Slim Series, Turbo Jam, and Project You) in my library collection. I hope to have some others in my collection. The beachbody products will never be bored to me. It gives me a variety to mix and choose my workouts. Till this day, I always look forward to the weekly newsletter tips, support, motivation, and the especially the forums. Though I have had minimal results, Beachbody gives me the energy to keep going every day to make it fun and offering many fitness programs. But most of all, I am about 40 lbs lighter from 10 years ago. Today, I make a habit to exercise 5-6 times a week by going to the gym or working out with a variety of exercise videos. During the days at my highest weight, I had asthma and now I am happy to say I do not have any asthma attacks. So I would really like thank you all very much for this wonderful motivation and support, Beachbody. Here is to a new and lighter me. THANK YOU!
