Brampton, ON I am 50 years old ... although I was born on Leap Year and can get away with saying I'm 12! ... live in Ontario, Canada and work as an Office Administrator/Bookkeeper, which means I sit on my butt most of the day, 5 days a week.

I have a wonderful husband who supports me in my quest for fitness and overall wellness ... as long as HE doesn't have to eat any fruits and vegetables! I'm hoping that once he sees the great results that I plan to achieve that he will bend slightly towards my lifestyle ... but I ain't holding my breath!
My interests include reading, playing video games and listening to music - mostly rock, although I'm pretty tolerant of almost anything except "pop" music. I love animals and enjoy spending the weekends soaking up the sun in good weather.
Lastly, and probably obviously or I wouldn't be here, I'm into fitness and exercise and staying in the best possible shape I can be in WHATEVER my age.

I joined Beachbody in May 2004, when I purchased SI6 and P90 and achieved great results without making too much of a sacrifice when it came to food. I went from a size 14 to a size 8, bought lots of new summer clothes and I was over the moon with my progress.
All was well until September, when I decided that 31 years of being a slave to tobacco was enough. I was tired of wheezing during my workouts and never being able to kick my cardio up. I realized that I was not even enjoying it anymore; it was an addiction that was ruling, and ruining, my life. So I quit.
When I made that decision, I realized that I was going to gain some weight, but I promised myself that succeeding would be my first priority and I would worry about the weight later. I won't tell you it was the easiest thing I've ever done but I was surprised that it wasn't even half as hard as I thought it would be ... except I gained more weight than I ever imagined I would. In March 2005, I was tipping the scales at 205 pounds, which meant that I’d gained roughly 20-25 pounds! I’m sure biology had a lot to do with it too, because as soon as I turned 44, my butt became 44, too ... in inches! About six months after I quit, I decided that it was time to take control of my eating habits and get my body into the shape I’ve always wanted. I started back on SI6 but I also wanted a new routine to give me a fresh perspective, so I started Project: You in March 2005.
I completed Project: You with a loss of 20 pounds and 12 inches and I had so much fun that it hardly seemed like exercise. Not only did I change my body, but I changed my eating habits and developed the willpower to stick with it ... most of the time!;) I was so happy with the results that I finally got the nerve up to ask my hubby to take some pics to go with my BB profile! :)
Since then, I have worked my way through another round of Power 90, four weeks of Slim Series and am currently working on Turbo Jam, which is more fun than any workout has a right to be! ;-) A year ago I wouldn’t have believed it if anyone had told me I could make it all the way through these intense exercise programs without collapsing from lack of breath and a possible heart attack. It truly is amazing how fast your lung capacity and cardio conditioning can improve and I am so thankful that I found the willpower to quit.
The first time I did Tear It Up, I kept looking at the clock, marveling that I was still going strong and wondering how much further I could go. There were times when I was on the verge of quitting … because I was exhausted, NOT because I was out of breath … but I managed to tough it out, although I did drop from 5 pounds to 3 pounds towards the end of the DVD.
In the last six months my body has undergone a transformation that I would never have thought possible. Oh sure, I WISHED I could do it but I really didn't BELIEVE I could do it. Now, for the first time in my life ... at 45 ... I have definition in my arms and legs, my butt is tighter and I BELIEVE that I WILL actually be able to SEE my abs in another couple of months! When I grab my upper arm for support during a triceps exercise, I can’t believe how much leaner my arms are now. I didn't realize I had changed so much! The lose skin that had plagued me the last couple of years and prevented me from wearing short sleeves is practically gone!
I feel so great that I wish I could speak to each and every person who is considering buying a BB program but doesn't know if the success stories are real, or is struggling through whatever program they decided on and don't think that they can make it ... THIS IS FOR REAL! YOU CAN DO IT and I'm the living proof! All you have to do is decide that you REALLY want it and you’re on your way!
