When I was a young girl my mom taught my sisters and I how to jitterbug, twist, and polka. We'd cut the living room rug for hours dancing and "singing" to the oldies. Forty years later I still dance in the living room in front of the big picture window and loudly sing the wrong words. Only now, sometimes I hear "Hey, that's Ms. Johnson dancing in there." Five years ago I made a decision to get healthy and lose weight. I first started walking in my basement. Once I increased my endurance I added some light kickboxing and bike riding. Eventually I began an aerobics program and over a span of 1 1/2 years lost over 100 lbs. A friend introduced me to the Slim Series, Turbo Jam, and Tony Horton's killer P90X workouts. I love the increased muscle tone I was able to develop. I continue to work out everyday and with so many programs I never get bored. Losing weight and keeping it off is never easy. Every day I have to make the decision to take care of myself by eating well and moving. Yet "nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels."
