My name is Kari, I'm 26 years old and am from Illinois. I have been married since August of 2004 and have two kids, a daughter, Isabella who is 3 and a son, Noah who is 1. I love being a wife and mom! I work with my mother-in-law at her home daycare so that I can still be with my kids and make some extra money (even if it isn't a whole lot).
I was always skinny growing up, almost too skinny. I didn't even weigh 100 pounds in high school. I am only 5'1" and petite so that was part of it too. I could eat whatever I wanted and didn't have to worry about gaining weight. Plus back then I didn't eat a lot anyway. When I met my now husband I started to gain weight. I think by the time we were married I weighed like around 134, ugh! I don't like looking at my wedding pictures and I regret letting myself get like that. I did lose some weight after I had my daughter but gained it back (I was down to around 109). Then I started doing NutriSystem in May of 2007 and lost a little bit of weight but had to quit doing it because I found out I was pregnant with my son (oops!). I didn't really lose any weight after I had him, I actually gained and I regret doing that. I have a really bad sweet tooth! I bought Turbo Jam back in February of 2009 and lost 5 pounds and maybe around 12 inches all together in about 2 and a half weeks. I was so happy about that! But then when March rolled around I wasn't doing it as much and then I was sick for two weeks at the end of March and beginning of April so I didn't feel like working out or even making food to eat so I wasn't working out or eating right. I gained that weight back plus a little more. And I regret doing that too!! I decided to buy Slim in 6 hoping to lose most of this weight in the 6 weeks and be skinnier and slimmer. I want to be able to wear the bathing suit I bought that is too small for me right now. Plus my husband and my 5 year anniversary is coming up and I want to look good for then. So I'm hoping to lose a lot of this weight (I'm guessing I need to lose around 24 pounds, but that's without gaining muscle. But if I gain muscle it will be less than that) and just be slimmer, healthier and feel so much better about myself. I want to be a skinny wife for my husband and not feel like I'm this "chubby wife". I wear clothes that hide my body because I don't like the fat and I'm ready to lose the weight and wear clothes that don't hide my body! I hope to achieve my goal with Slim in 6 and then with Turbo Jam too (I plan on doing that after I'm done with SI6, but I also have like 4 of the Slim Series DVDs so I will do those too). I'm looking forward to seeing the new me!
