A little about myself, in 2009 I was at my heaviest 310 lbs, I was really unhealthy. I went to an amusement park, and went to ride a roller coaster. I got kicked off of that roller coaster, because they couldn't get the safety bar all the way down. That was definitely a low point for me, but it still took a few weeks to make the change.

On January 2010, I decided to make that change, I severely restricted my calories, and started doing workouts, I dropped 45lbs by July 2010, and decided to give P90X a shot. When I received the nutrition guide I realized I was eating way to little, so I modified my diet and started my first round of P90X. I made it 5 weeks in, lost 10 lbs, and dropped two notches on my belt, I was feeling good.
I ended up stopping that round when my son was born in late Sept. Old habits crept back in, and I was so tired I wasn't working out. Then in Nov. I lost my job, and went into a little bit of depression. From Nov. 2010-jan2011 I put 15 lbs back on, I still managed to drop 40 lbs that year, but I definitely had fallen on hard times.
Bring on Jan 1st 2011 and I got right back into it. I started a modified version of P90X as I just wasn't ready to go full out, I dropped 10 lbs in a little over a month, then came another big change. I moved from Virginia to Pennsylvania to be near family. This put a little hault on my workouts, but I did maintain a decent diet. my job was pretty physical, so I just used that for my workouts. I got a desk job in May, and started working out again. Then I hurt my back, and was on and off of working out through the summer. I got back into it serious around Sept. and managed to drop 20 more lbs by the end of the year.
At the start of 2012 I now weighed 236 lbs, and was feeling pretty good, so I decided to give P90X another shot. I completed my first round on March 28th, 2012. I dropped 9 lbs and 7 inches. I was able to do multiple unassisted pullups, and I was starting to run. In April I ran my first ever 5K (36 min), and continued to do some running after that. In May I started a round of P90X+, I made it through the first month, but injured my shoulder. That sidelined me for a week, then I went on vacation. The shoulder was still sore, so I just did cardio for a week. Then I hurt my back, so took all of June off.
In July I started my own hybrid of P90X/P90X+, I was doing great on that, and was packing on some muscle. In early Sept I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, an autoimmune diseases that attacks the colon, it can be pretty hard on your body. I stll managed to go 94 days on my hybrid, but ended up taking a break, as I just ran out of gas. After an off week, and some much needed rest, I started getting back in the swing of things, and I'm getting ready to start Rev Abs on Oct 21st
As you can see my weight loss journey has had its fair share of ups and downs, I've had a lot of good times, but have dealt with a lot of issues. That all being said I try and stay positive, and realize that as long as I am doing something, then I am still getting healthy each day. To date I've lost 80lbs and many inches.
