You have realized that "I" am resposible for "me" and if I don't get moving and make things happen, they never will.
As I was halfway through my biceps workout, I was standing in front of the dumbell rack, staring at them, trying to will them into my hands. They never budged, I reached for one, then the other and started repping. As I fought through the pain and fatigue, I reminded myself that as long as I don’t physically make myself work and consistently increase stress on any bodypart, it will remain the same. The "same" is not good enough. I am not doing this to prove anything to anyone except to myself. I have only dreamed of doing this, now is the time for action, now is the time for results.
I have learned a lot along this journey and would like to share with others and help them acheive their goals. Diet, excersise, determination and patience, with these things you will reach goals you never dreamed possible. My mind has not gotten used to the reflection in the mirror. My body has outrun my mind, in a sense, I still see the overweight out of shape guy that I have been used to seeing most of my adult life. I complain to my wife about how hard i’m working and not seeing any results. When in fact my body has changed tremendously. I have figured out that I don’t need to work on changing my body, but instead, work on changing my habits. Body changes will come with time. This is the beginning of something great, I know. I welcome the change, I welcome the challenge. No more excuses, no more complaining, just progress.
I will be 40 years old the end of June, and possibly the best shape of my life. I look forward to seeing what the future holds and will continue to improve daily with, "BABY STEPS" I hope to inspire my wife and kids by setting a good example. This is something that can change their life, as it has mine.

I always thought I was in pretty good shape. I knew I could do a little bit better but I did not see a need, Ha. Even when I first saw the starting pix, I didn't see a whole lot that I could improve, double Ha. I signed up to do a transformation contest and have not looked back since. I have dropped about 10% BF, and 12 lbs. I have brought out my muscularity and abs, yeehaw! I learned not only what I should do, but what I shouldn't do. I had to convince the guy in the mirror to work on changing habits, not changing the body. Once you get a plan in place, the changes will come. Remember, Baby Steps!!!!
