Lino Lakes, MN I'm Julia, and I'm a 32-year-old stay-at-home mom of a 1-year-old baby boy. Over the past few years I've done two rounds of P90X, 12 weeks of TurboFire, plus a mix of workouts from other programs (P90X2, Insanity, Asylum, RevAbs, BBL, Yoga Booty Ballet, etc.), and now I'm starting a hybrid program of ChX and TurboFire!

Growing up with a nurse mom I developed a strong understanding of fitness and nutrition early on (no soda or fast food in our house!). Throughout college and grad school I kept in shape and managed stress through running. A few years ago, after finishing school, I decided I wanted a bigger challenge. I signed up for, trained for, and ran a marathon--a big personal accomplishment! My marathon training inspired my husband to start his first round of P90X, and when I saw the results he was getting I decided that was the next goal for me too. I knew we wanted to start a family soon and I wanted to be in the best possible shape going into my pregnancy, so before getting pregnant with our son I completed 90 days of P90X myself.
With my doctor's OK and the appropriate modifications, I worked out 5 days a week throughout my pregnancy, which I believe has helped my body recover quickly. After having the baby I worked hard to get back into my pre-pregnancy shape. With a healthy diet and 12 weeks of TurboFire, I got back into great shape--my "before" photo is 2 weeks postpartum, my "after" photo was taken 10 months postpartum.

My story is about getting in shape and staying in shape before, during, and after pregnancy. I did P90X before getting pregnant, a variety of modified workouts throughout my pregnancy, and 12 weeks TurboFire after, with great results! Now I'm keeping in shape using a hybrid routine of workouts (P90x, TurboFire, RevAbs, Insanity, Asylum, Brazilian Butt Lift, and P90X One-on-Ones) to keep things interesting and keep me motivated. I've been breast feeding my son for 9 months, and will continue until he's at least a year, which means focusing on nutrition more than ever.
Before getting pregnant I went on what I thought might be my last "bikini" vacation, but I was wrong. I'm a stay-at-home mom with a new baby and can honestly say I'm in the best shape of my life!
