pawtucket, RI I am a 57 year old male , in Jan 2007 , I joined a gym in a step to quit smoking , I didn't want to put on alot of weight , in March I successfully quit. I weighed 220 lb my goal was simple to lose 20 lb's and firm up and get some definition , I changed my diet to what I thought was a healthy diet , that would allow me to lose some weight my weight held steady at 220. When the warm weather I am a 57 year old male , in Jan 2007 , I joined a gym in a step to quit smoking , I didn't want to put on alot of weight , in March I successfully quit. I weighed 220 lb my goal was simple to lose 20 lb's and firm up and get some definition , I changed my diet to what I thought was a healthy diet , that would allow me to lose some weight my weight held steady at 220. When the warm weather hit I started riding a bicycle about the end of june I got a kayak , I was going to the gym , riding a bicycle almost every night for 2 hours and going out in the kayak when ever I could and every time I got on the scale 220 it never changed , people would say you gain muscle and lose fat your weight will stay the same,well in that case my waist would have gotten smaller , before I started i did not measure my waist or my hips I weighed my bellie at its widest point, and it only changed an inch. I couldn't believe it I was having whole grain cereal, yogurt a salad and chicken alot and I still stayed at 220 I got frustrated and slowly stopped going to the gym but kept up the bicycling and kayaking and as the days got shorter and I got out less I put on 15 LBs. I got back into the gym and it took like 5 months to take off the 15 lbs , was back to 220 and all last summer going to the gym riding the bicycle and the kayak stayed at 220 once again got frustrated with the gym and stopped going by the time I got the 10 minute trainer , I had put on 15 pounds I started with the lose a jean size in ten days it has been a week and I have lost 7 lb_s and the 10 minute routines I cant believe how much I fell them and already seeing some results and I fell better I know now my short time here , that I was limiting my variety of food too much , eating too close together and having to large of portions , now that I have the proper tools I can't wait to see what happens in 30 days.
