Acworth, GA Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Laurie Uzee, my husband and I are stoked about P90X and how it is starting to transform our lives and health. Excited about learning more and chatting with others who are super stoked about P90X. We are just in the beginning of our journey, but know it is one well worth taking. We have been happily married for 17yrs and have 5 boys ranging in age from Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Laurie Uzee, my husband and I are stoked about P90X and how it is starting to transform our lives and health. Excited about learning more and chatting with others who are super stoked about P90X. We are just in the beginning of our journey, but know it is one well worth taking. We have been happily married for 17yrs and have 5 boys ranging in age from 28yrs old - 12yrs old. We are doing this for ourselves and our boys. We live on the East Coast in Georgia and our younger boys are active in sports. Love nature,animals and the outdoors, but mostly, we are excited about our journey back to fitness. With my husband working in law enforcement, it is extremely important he stay fit. I work for the county as well, but sitting behind a desk all day...as we all know takes its toll as well. It is amazing how little time we take for ourselves when our children are small. Now we have the time to give back to ourselves and our health so we can be around for our teenagers and adult children...and maybe one day grandchildren. And hopefully be an inspiration to others.... After all, it is never to late to be fit, but you must set your mind in the go mode. My husband works out every night and in the morning on the weekends. I started off working out in the evenings, but have found it better to wake up early and start my day off right. On the weekends, we usually try to go on outdoor adventures and hit the trails. Love the cardio workout, but my favorite is Kenpo. Our goal is to inspire others to take this fitness journey. We have regained our energy, and it's nice to see us checking each other out in the way we used to when we first met. I encourage everyone to take the challenge. Do it 1st for yourself, and then others will follow. Be an inspiration.
I would like to get to the point where I am more active and productive...then I know I will see faster results. Having a thyroid condition, it is even more important to me to get and stay fit. I think standing on the scale scares me the most. So, I have decided to go by the way my clothes fit and other peoples reaction to my transformation. I still have a way to go. I truly believe it is well worth the time and effort to get back into shape, eat healthy and encourage others to do the same.
Today is June 14th, 2009 and I have finally decided to get totally with the program. I have uploaded my now photo - I cannot wait to upload my next photo in 30 days, so you can see my progress. Starting off, but not really sticking to the eating plan, I was at 174.2 pounds, I am now 170.4 pounds. My goal weight is between 130 - 125. I know it will take some time, but thank God I have time to make it happen.

P.S. I really hate the scale it is a real downer for me, but I must not let it get the best of me :0)

We are just in the beginning weeks of our new life style. My husband is a little ahead, but ladies you know we all tend to put ourselves last. I am on week 6 and my husband is on week 12. It is awesome to see some definition starting to peek on our bodies. Ok, I had a co-worker tell me yesterday... girl, you are looking good. I can tell your working out, it totally shows. Well, this inspires you even more in knowing you are achieving your goals. My husband has almost totally lost the beer gut. His chest looks like it did when we first meant. But, we still have a way to go - will keep you all posted.
