I have never been what many would consider overweight, but I did allow myself to inch up to 150 lbs. at my heaviest, non pregnant weight. Although that doesn't seem to be much to many people, to a 5'2" person, it was really starting to add up! That was a wake up call to me and I decided that I did not want to follow in the same footsteps as my parents.

I would have to say, to a certain extent, it was my father that helped motivate me to focus on my health. See, he has been overweight my whole life and has suffered from all the weight related diseases and conditions that go along with it. He has tried to emphasize to his kids to not do what he has done so we would not have to suffer like he has.

I was first introduced to the Beachbody products in October of 2007 and purchased many of the DVD's and products. I just fell in love with them (or as much as anyone can with an exercise program):)I started with Turbo Jam, because I had heard Gayle King talk about how much she loved it & Chalene, then I finally saw an advertisement for it & was sold.

Then I was introduced to Tony Horton & Power 90 & P90X. I had never had workouts that kicked my butt so bad, but I definitely enjoyed the results!

Since I started focusing on my health & diet & using Beachbody products, I have successfully gone from 137 lbs with 26% body fat to 117 lbs & 11% body fat. I am reaching the milestone birthday of 40 but look & feel better than I have ever felt in my entire life. I really can hardly wait to see what else I can challenge myself to do & how I can help other achieve the same!
