Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Honestly, I felt like my life was completely miserable. I lacked energy and motivation to do anything and everything. From being with my family, participating in any activity, or even just wanting to go out. My only desire was to always be lazy. I never had the desire to wake up on time for my sedentary job and only desired to return to my home to continue in a sedentary position. I was very much lazy, and I completely felt overweight and useless, which caused me to be very ashamed of who I became.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
A few things caused the inspiration. First of all, I loved to play golf and noticed I was losing a great amount of flexibility and ability to play consistently. I knew that I needed a stronger core and more flexibility. However, the key element that inspired me was watching my boys grow up and not having the desire nor energy to enjoy that time. I watched my son, who is six now, grow up way too fast, and looking back I realized I had very little memories due to my laziness. I knew that I needed a change in my lifestyle so that I can enjoy the short amount of time I have with my children and wife.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
The greatest challenge was no doubt getting motivated… I struggled on a daily basis prior and during the beginning phase of T25. There were countless days that I felt like I couldn’t exercise. HOWEVER, when I finally got into it and completed the day, it would encourage me that my enemy is not poor physical condition, but rather my own will. The motivation became much easier when I finally developed the habit of working out. To this day, I continue with that motivation knowing what I was able to overcome and the change that is no doubt evident.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
I loved the fact that it was only 28 minutes a day (except for doubles on Fridays). I always had the time to do a quick 25-minute workout and 3-minute cooldown. It was no doubt intense, but it was ONLY 25 minutes a day of an extreme workout.
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
The results are many: loss of weight, loss of inches all over, and new visible definition. The result that I’m most proud of is the forming of my abs. That was the key thing I was aiming for and can’t wait to have them fully defined here shortly.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
My life started to change in the beginning process of T25 with the changing of my complete lifestyle. The workouts were awesome. However, regardless of how much I would work out, I would have never seen results until I changed the kitchen first. Changing what I would eat with the diet booklet from Shaun T revolutionized the changing of my lifestyle completely.
